10 Reasons To Move To Texas

There is no place like Texas, wide open land, warm climate, and friendly people. These are a few of the reasons why Texas has 5 out of 10 on the top growing cities in America based on a 2011-2012 US Sensus study. One of the biggest reasons people are flocking to Texas is because it is cheap. Land and home prices around Texas are some of the cheapest in the nation, not to mention that once you are established here, you will not have to pay any personal state income tax. Besides saving money all around, it has something for everybody, with 6 large cities in one state and countless other cities in between those large cities, there is a lot to choose from both city and country alike. The people here are another reason, many people say they are about as family-friendly as can be. That sort of attitude may be contributed to Texas being laissez-faire, and lacking many regulations seen in other states.

The Time to Buy is Now

America's economy is in a home buying frenzy at the moment, with mortgage interest rates at an all-time low, the market is hot. Professional real estate agents are urging people, who will buy a home, to buy now. When interest rates are at an all-time low, there is only one way to go from the bottom, and that is up. Economists have predicted that buyers will begin to see a rise in interest rates as early as early as the third quarter of 2015. If you are on the fence about buying a home at the moment, the time is now, we may never see mortgage interest rates this low again.

Reclaimed Wood: Beauty by Being Green

Reclaimed wood is becoming ever so popular these days. People are using it for building anything from furniture to the siding on their houses. While it is considered a premium grade lumber because of it's rarity and beautiful look, some of it is not too hard to come by. Small amounts can be obtained by finding pallets behind businesses, and asking (of course) if you can take them off their hands, many will not hesitate to say "take them!". Also, many old wooden buildings lay abandoned on farm roads and county roads alike. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you will find one of these and the owners will let you disassemble the building for free and keep the wood in exchage for getting rid of thier building. The rise of this "Rustic" looking wood is becoming ever so popular in custom homes, espicially East Texas Custom Homes. Not only is it good looking (my opinion), but it is also technically recycled wood, so it is green and less wasteful. Point is, if the price is right, go for reclaimed wood, it's beauty and environmental benefit is matched by no other.
